Our skin may encounter many skin deformations as a result of environmental factors, especially aging, our vital habits, acne and acne scars exposed during adolescence, the drugs used and the harmful rays of the sun.

Although some of these skin deformations can be resolved with superficial treatments, the interventions on the skin surface are insufficient in intense deformations and after special peeling procedures, special care for the skin arises.

What is Chemical Peel?

Chemical Peel, as the name suggests, is a peeling, skin peeling process. Different from home care, there are 3 different grades of peeling in the Chemical Peel process, in which special solutions and serums are used.

  1. a) Superficial Peel

It is the most comfortable and fastest healing peeling treatment among TCA Chemical Peel treatments. Superficial peeling is the process of correcting the skin structure by peeling the stratum corneum. In this treatment, trichloroacetic acid (TCA) 10-25%, Jessner’s solution, alpha hydroxy acid (AHA), salicylic acid and tretinoin solutions can be used.

  1. b) Medium deep Peel

It is the stage where a deeper skin layer is peeled compared to superficial peeling. It regulates pigments by causing deformation in the upper reticular dermis. It is one of the effective methods in the treatment of moderate to mild wrinkles. Recovery time takes longer than superficial peeling.

  1. c) Deep Peel

Among the Chemical Peel treatments, it is the peeling treatment with the deepest peeling process. In this treatment, 35-50% TCA, Jessner’s solution and 35% TCA combination, 70% glycolic acid and 35% TCA combination or 88% phenol can be used. There is a recovery period after the treatment.
