A well-shaped and harmonious breast form is undoubtedly the dream of many women. From past to present, full breasts and shaped breast forms represent fertility and abundance in almost every civilization and every society, but today, due to these codes that have been ingrained into our genetics, full and shaped breast form is considered one of the sine qua non of femininity and corresponds to the definition of “attractive” for many people.

Breast augmentation surgeries can be performed with more than one technique today. In addition to implant-supported breast augmentation surgeries or breast augmentation surgeries with fat injection, effective and pleasing results are obtained with the popular application of recent years, composite breast augmentation surgery, and maximum satisfaction is provided for the patients.

What is composite breast augmentation surgery?

Composite breast augmentation surgery is a combination of fat injection method and prosthesis supported breast augmentation surgery. Composite breast augmentation surgery, which is performed under general anesthesia and requires patients to stay in the hospital for 1 day, is at least as comfortable and reliable as other methods.

Why is composite breast augmentation surgery needed?

In breast augmentation surgeries performed with fat injection, there is only a half-size growth. However, the permanence period of the fat in the area where the fat injection is made is 2 years on average. At the end of 2 years, it is necessary to be operated again in order to maintain the same breast form. Breast augmentation surgeries performed with breast prostheses or their other name are guaranteed by the manufacturer of the prosthesis for a lifetime. However, breast prostheses are unfortunately not always sufficient for every patient. Namely, the skin structure of some patients is quite thin. When the breast prosthesis that supports the breast tissue is placed, the curved, natural flowing appearance of the breast may not be obtained. Due to the thin skin, the prosthesis looks like a protrusion. At such times, that protruding appearance is softened with fat injection and a curved breast appearance is obtained by ensuring the harmony of the breast prosthesis with the natural breast form.

In addition to thin skin, another reason for applying the composite breast augmentation technique is the asymmetric breast form. As we mentioned above, breast augmentation surgeries performed with fat injection are not permanent, but only provide half-size growth. If the person wants to grow for a lifetime and more than half a size, the surgery must be done with a breast prosthesis. However, if there is asymmetry in the breast, intervention with fat injection is required. If there is a serious asymmetry, it can be solved by placing prostheses of different sizes on both sides, but if a small asymmetry with a narrow scope is mentioned, then the asymmetry is eliminated with fat injection after prosthesis augmentation.

What is the right time for composite breast augmentation surgery?

Thanks to today’s developing medical technologies, every aesthetic operation can be easily performed in summer and winter, so our patients do not experience any problems or troubles in their healing processes. Composite breast augmentation surgery can be performed easily in all seasons, as in other operations.

How should the preparation process be for composite breast augmentation surgery?

Composite breast augmentation surgery is an operation performed under general anesthesia. For this reason, there are precautions to be taken before the surgery and points to be considered. First of all, our patients are required to share their medical history with us in detail during the consultation examination, and to specify the drugs they use in full. However, if our patients are using blood thinners or ready-to-use injections, they should stop using these drugs 10 days before the surgery, with the knowledge of the doctor prescribing these drugs.

Another precaution to be taken when the aforementioned composite breast augmentation surgery is to stop smoking. The nicotine in cigarettes slows down the skin cell renewal and thus the healing process. For this reason, it is important for our patients to take a break from smoking before surgery for rapid recovery.

Composite Breast Augmentation Surgery

Composite breast aesthetics is performed under general anesthesia in a full-fledged hospital. In the operation, the breast implant is placed in the first place, in line with the prosthesis size (size) determined in the consultation examination, respectively. The breast implant can be placed with different incision techniques. The incision technique to be used is decided in the consultation examination in line with the patient’s body structure and expectations. After breast implant placement application is passed to fat injection. Fats taken from various parts of the body by vaser liposuction method are injected into the patient after a special procedure for a more shaped breast form in line with the patient’s needs. In composite breast augmentation surgeries, fat injection is performed to eliminate breast asymmetry or to make the breast implant look more compatible with the body.

Will there be any scars after composite breast augmentation surgery?

Scars remain after almost every aesthetic operation. The important thing is to hide the surgical scar in the best way with the right planning. A scar remains after the composite breast augmentation surgery, but the scar is best hidden with an incision made under the breast. However, in the first 6 months of the operation, the scar is red and purple, but at the end of the first year, the operation scar takes a color close to the skin color and gradually fades.
