However, about 10 days before the operation, you should stop taking blood thinners and drugs in the form of ready-made injections. Another necessary preparation is to stop smoking about 10 days before the surgery. Since smoking slows down cell renewal in the skin, it can delay the healing process. Therefore, it is a good option to stop smoking during the preparation period for the operation.

How is facelift surgery performed?

Contrary to popular belief, in facelift surgery, only the skin is stretched, loosened and sagging excess skin is not removed. In the operation, subcutaneous connective tissues and muscles are also intervened and reshaping is performed in each layer of the skin. The sagging and loosening tissues are moved to the place where they should be, then the skin is stretched and the excess skin is removed. There are no large incisions in facelift surgery. The operation is continued through 2 cm incisions made from the scalp or behind the ear.

Mini Facelift Surgery

Mini facelift surgery, or also known as mini face-lift, is a simplification of the facelift operations mentioned above. The recovery period is fast and short in mini facelift surgery, which aims to recover the lower face, cheeks and chin and achieve a younger appearance.

With which treatments can facelift surgery be performed in combination?
