In the fat injection process, fat is taken from the patient in the first place. Fat removal is done by liposuction method. Today, although there are many different liposuction methods, Vaser Liposuction is frequently used because it offers a chance for sensitive intervention and directly affects the fat without damaging the neighboring tissues. With the ultrasonic energy offered by Vaser Liposuction, the fats are destroyed and then the fat is taken out of the body with a special thin cannula.

Fat Injection

Fat injection is an treatment performed under general anesthesia or local anesthesia. General anesthesia is used in extensive fat injection procedures. Before the treatment, fat is removed with Vaser Liposuction from the fat removal areas determined in the consultation examination. Then, the fats taken from the face and body parts determined in the consultation examination are injected to create more shapely and proportional face and body lines. The duration of the fat injection process varies according to the amount of fat to be taken from the patient and the scope of the subsequent injection process.

The procedure is carried out in a full-fledged hospital. Although the patient can be discharged on the same day after the treatment, we consider it more appropriate to host our patients in the hospital for 1 day. The results of the fat injection process begin to show themselves in about 1 week as the edema begins to decrease after the operation.

Is fat injection permanent?

Although fat injection treatment is more permanent than hyaluronic acid-based dermal fillers, the results are not for life. In the fat injection process, which lasts for an average of 2 years, partial melting can be seen in the injected fats after this period. If the effect is desired to continue, the process must be repeated at the end of this period.

Who is suitable candidate for fat injection treatment?

In the fat injection process, the fats taken from the patients’ own bodies are used. Therefore, first of all, the body structure of the patients should be suitable for fat intake. However, the purpose for which the fat injection procedure is planned is one of the factors that determine the suitability of the patient. For example, if the patient wants fat injection as part of the breast augmentation operation, but wants to grow more than one size in the breast form, this patient is not a suitable candidate for the fat injection operation.
